Reclaiming the Glow in Motherhood with Glow Mama Go ✨
One thing I love most about our Pretty&Ghetto community is discovering women who take their struggles and turn them into movements. This month’s spotlight is on a mom of two, a physical therapist, and the founder of Glow Mama Go, a brand created straight out of the real, raw experiences of postpartum life.
After her first baby, she struggled with body image, burnout, and the heavy weight of pouring into everyone else while feeling invisible herself. Then came a turning point—she decided to reclaim her glow and create a space where other moms could do the same. That’s how Glow Mama Go was born: a place where women can access fitness, self-care, and wellness tools that fit into real life, not just Instagram highlight reels.

Why Her Story Resonates
What I love about her is how deeply she embodies the balance of beauty and grit. That’s why her journey fits right in with Pretty&Ghetto. She knows that motherhood and womanhood are both polished and raw, strong and soft, powerful and vulnerable. Glow Mama Go was built on that duality, reminding us that we don’t have to choose—we can be all of it unapologetically.
The Power of Community
For her, community is everything. It means being surrounded by women who get it—the late nights, the endless juggling, the joy tucked between the chaos. It’s about representation, connection, and support. Being part of a sisterhood that lifts one another up is what keeps her fueled.
Empowerment in Action
When she talks about empowerment, it’s not about perfection—it’s about owning your story, taking up space, and refusing to wait for someone else’s permission. She lives this out daily by prioritizing her wellness as a mom, being transparent about the struggles as much as the wins, and building Glow Mama Go as a safe place where other women can choose themselves, too.

From Pain to Purpose
Her journey hasn’t been easy. Postpartum depression, rebuilding confidence, and learning to make herself a priority were all part of the path. But instead of letting those challenges define her, she turned them into purpose. Glow Mama Go is the result of her decision to transform pain into power—giving moms grace, not pressure, and tools that are realistic, not performative.
What Makes Glow Mama Go Different
She’s not just running a brand; she’s building a movement. From fitness programs and self-care content to upcoming Glow Mama Go journals and tees, everything she creates is about helping moms reconnect with themselves. Events like Glow & Unwind: Fitness, Self-Love & Real Talk are her way of making sure moms don’t just survive motherhood—they thrive in it.
And what keeps her going are the messages she gets from other moms: “I feel seen.” “This made my day easier.” That connection reminds her why she started in the first place.

Her Advice for Women Ready to Start
The wisdom she shares is simple but powerful:
👉🏽 Start messy. Start small. Just start.
She believes clarity comes from action, not waiting until fear disappears. Her encouragement? Focus on your “why,” lean into your story, and surround yourself with people who pour into you, not drain you.
Breaking Barriers
As a Black woman in both healthcare and entrepreneurship, she has been underestimated and stereotyped—but she continues to rise above it. By standing firm in her expertise and showing up authentically, she not only carves her own lane but also makes room for the women who will come after her.
The Biggest Lesson
Her journey taught her one of the most powerful truths: growth and healing aren’t neat. They’re messy, imperfect, and rarely linear. You can struggle and still grow. You can be vulnerable and still strong. And it’s often those in-progress moments that build the deepest connections.

Looking Forward
In the next five years, she sees Glow Mama Go growing into a full lifestyle platform—complete with books, self-care products, fitness programs, and large-scale events. What excites her most is the vision of moms gathering in real life, leaving refueled, laughing, and glowing inside and out.
A Few Fun Things 🌸
✨ She once lived in France and is fluent in French.
✨ Her self-care is simple but intentional—journaling, lighting candles, sneaking in a quick workout, or unplugging with her kids.
✨ Right now, she’s preparing to launch Glow Mama Go journals and T-shirts, while expanding her content series, The Core Fix, Mama Edition.
Why We Celebrate Her
What inspires me most is that she embodies what Pretty&Ghetto is all about: celebrating duality, owning your story, and choosing yourself again and again. Her glow isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up real, messy, and resilient. And that’s exactly the kind of energy our community deserves to see reflected back.
